Who performs these treatments
Customized facials and professional skincare services at Celtic Lasers are performed by our licensed esthetician. The laser and microneedling services are performed separately, by a professionally trained and certified laser professional with more than 23 years of experience in dermatology and aesthetics.
That division is worth knowing before you book, because it tells you who you will be sitting with and what they are licensed to do. A facial and a laser treatment are different disciplines, and a practice that blurs them is not being straight with you.
You do not have to know what to book
Most treatment menus are written for people who already know the vocabulary, which is almost nobody. Our licensed esthetician can assess your skin and recommend a facial based on your skin type, concerns, current products and goals.
If you are unsure what to select, book a consultation or a customized facial and allow the esthetician to guide you. That is not a fallback option for the indecisive — for most people it is the better route, because a treatment chosen after looking at your skin beats one chosen from a description.
What “customized” means here
It means the treatment is assembled for the skin in front of her on the day, rather than delivered from a fixed protocol attached to a name. Skin is not static: it behaves differently in August in Louisiana than it does in January, differently when you have just started a retinoid, and differently in the week before a wedding than in a quiet month.
So the appointment starts with looking at your skin and asking what you are using on it. What follows is decided from that.
Bring your products, or a list of them
The single most useful thing you can do before a first appointment is arrive with an accurate account of what you are putting on your face — actives, prescriptions, exfoliants, anything a friend recommended.
This matters for two reasons. It is often where the problem is, and a good esthetician can resolve a complaint by subtracting products rather than adding treatments. And it changes what can safely be done that day: retinoids, acids and scrubs all affect how skin tolerates a professional treatment.
Timing facials alongside laser and microneedling
Patients frequently want to combine treatments, especially before an event. Some services can be scheduled close together and some should be separated to protect the skin and allow proper healing.
Safe timing depends on the treatments performed, your skin condition, the products or medications being used, and how your skin responds. Please disclose all recent and upcoming treatments — including anything booked elsewhere — so we can help coordinate an appropriate schedule.
Because both the laser side and the esthetics side of this practice sit under one roof, that coordination is a conversation rather than a guess. If you are planning microneedling or a laser skin rejuvenation series and want facials alongside it, say so at the start and the order can be planned properly.
Add-ons
Red light therapy may be recommended as an add-on to another treatment when appropriate — it uses specific wavelengths of light to support the skin’s natural healing process, and may help calm inflammation and reduce temporary redness. Whether it is worth adding to your appointment is a judgement made on the day rather than a box to tick when booking.
What a facial will not do
A facial will not remove hair, will not clear established sun damage or brown spots, and will not restructure skin the way a microneedling series may. Nor will one appointment undo years of a routine that is not working — the honest version is that professional treatment and what you do at home are two halves of the same thing, and the home half is doing most of the hours.
If your concern is outside our scope, we will recommend evaluation by an appropriate medical provider. Active acne, suspected skin conditions and anything that looks like it needs a diagnosis rather than a treatment belong with a physician first.
How it is priced
Facials and professional skincare are priced after assessment, because the appointment is built around your skin rather than sold as a fixed protocol. Laser hair removal, where the price is genuinely fixed by treatment area, is published in full on the pricing page.
Common questions
What type of facial should I book?
Our licensed esthetician can assess your skin and recommend a facial based on your skin type, concerns, current products, and goals. If you are unsure what to select, book a consultation or customized facial and allow the esthetician to guide you.
Can I schedule a facial, microneedling, and laser treatment close together?
Possibly, but some services should be separated to protect the skin and allow proper healing. Safe timing depends on the treatments performed, your skin condition, products or medications being used, and how your skin responds. Please disclose all recent and upcoming treatments so we can help coordinate an appropriate schedule.
How do I know which treatment is right for my skin concerns?
You do not have to know which service to book. During your consultation, we will evaluate your skin, discuss your goals, and explain which treatment — or combination of treatments — is most appropriate. If your concern is outside our scope, we will recommend evaluation by an appropriate medical provider.
What services do you offer, and who performs them?
